MMWA-SICW.com is proud to present an exclusive interview with the current Heavyweight Champion, Lightfoot. From Junior Heavyweight Champion, to the current Champion, Lightfoot has had a highly successful career, with many fans that support him each and every month.

MMWA-SICW.com: What has your strategy been for defending the Heavyweight title?
Lightfoot: Well to you the truth, when I won that belt I knew that I had to kick it into high gear. I still had the heart of a lightweight inside the body of a heavyweight. I knew when I was running out of gas the fans would be there to refill the tank. I knew that when I started to become my worst, they brought out the best. I knew deep in my heart that after 9 and a half years of wrestling I still had a lot of steam that this old engine could run on. The Lightfoot driver lives on and will live on forever. And I tell ya I may barley be able to walk but I damn sure can drive.

MMWA-SICW.com: Of all the wrestlers for the MMWA-SICW, who would you most like to defend the title against and why?
Lightfoot: I can't lay my finger on just one. There are so many talented people in this company it amazes me. The lightweights have stepped up to prove a point and that point was we can do it faster, better, and flip you inside out while doing it. The heavyweights have stepped up and proved that being strong is more in the mind than in the body and when you're strong minded and strong at body you're almost unstoppable. I guess what I'm trying to say is, I'm a fighting champion; always have been and always will be. I'll take on all challengers. The way I see it is, I'm on the of the mountain and its going to take a hell of a man to knock me off it.

MMWA-SICW.com: What advice would you give to those wanting to get in the wrestling business?
Lightfoot: You're in for a ride. Get your training, learn everything thing you can. Learn from as many people as you can. Learn to fly, learn to do all the styles your mind can think of. Cause you never know when your going to need to use them.

MMWA-SICW.com: You are one of the few wrestlers who has held both the Junior Heavyweight and Heavyweight titles. How difficult was the transition to the Heavyweight division? What, if anything, did you have to change about your wrestling style?
Lightfoot: Well I have my wife to thank for that. (tilts head back and laughs) When you marry a country girl you learn how to eat good home cooked meals. And well, becoming a heavyweight was something I could not control (laughing) but seriously there was really no change for me. If I think I need the top rope to get the advantage I take to the skies like the little 15 year old native American boy that was just turning his dreams into a reality. And if I have to use raw strength and size I use all 245lbs that the wife helped me attain to get the advantage. Bottom line, I'm going to hit ya from the sky, I'm going to hit ya from the lowest part of the floor, I'm going to kick ya when your up, and I'll even kick you when your down. And when you hear the one, two, three, the belt remains high in the air death gripped in my hands.

MMWA-SICW.com: If you had the chance to start over again, would you change anything about your career?
Lightfoot: I don't think that I would. I have been pleasing fans for a little shy of a decade. Of course it makes me feel old when I have a fan come up to me at the age of 10 and explain to me that their daddy use to tell stories of Jeremy Lightfoot to them as bed time stories (laughs). But as long as those kids smile, as long as those fans still fly the war paints that I have worn over the years, as long as my son can look at the TV screen and clap to the sound of my entrance music, this old war stomping chest choping, hard hitting, fire spitting, highflying, death defying, make up wearing hair flaring, goal striving Lightfoot driving crazy native American will be in that ring doing what he does best.

MMWA-SICW.com: Last month, Gary Jackson made it very clear that he was going after you for the Heavyweight title. Are you concerned at all by his comments, especially in regards to him saying he would do whatever was necessary to win?
Lightfoot: Well, I have respected Gary Jackson for years, Gary even helped with my training when I was just that little native boy looking to find his calling. And if you have to do what ever necessary well you better call the coroner and make sure he's highly qualified to do his duty. Cause Gary to take the belt, you'll have to beat me. But to stop me, you'll have to kill me. And not you nor any man in the back has the gall to let me catch my second wind.

MMWA-SICW.com: How do you prepare for a match with an opponent?
Lightfoot: A lot of my good friends in the locker room know better, but some of the newest guys I have to explain to them later its nothing they said or did. But I sit alone with an mp3 player and about a case of energy drinks infront of me. I don't even speak to my wife while she paints my beloved war paint on my face. I find a concrete wall anywhere in the building that the show is happening in and I begin chopping that wall till I damn near break the foundation. From the time I get into gear until you hear the first cord of my entrance music I hardly make a peep.

MMWA-SICW.com: We know you have an amazing amount of Lightfoot Driver variations. What is the latest one you have developed?
Lightfoot: I have been mainly working on finding new ways to hit the old ones besides you'll know it when ya see it. Sorry, but I don't reveal secrets until I get in there.

MMWA-SICW.com: What do you enjoy most about wrestling?
Lightfoot: The fact that I can come home barley with enough strength to carry my gym bag. Turn on the heating pad look at my son and say daddy's only 24 and yet he feels way to old for this stuff. But yet can't wait to do it again. The fact that I can't go anywhere in the mid west and not have somebody go "Hey isn't that Jeremy Lightfoot" or more commonly known as "That Indian guy", the fact that when I got to training and pass on some of the knowledge that I have and the stories that I have gained and pass somewhat of the preverbial torch to the new, younger generation of professional wrestlers. And to know that when I'm dead and gone Jeremy Lightfoot will be a name that people remember.

MMWA-SICW.com: What do you dislike most about wrestling today?
Lightfoot: If I had any dislikes I would be doing something else.

MMWA-SICW.com: Is there anything else you would like to let the fans know?
Lightfoot: Keep watching out for the brand new Jeremy Lightfoot web site to debut. As well as the brand new 3 or 4 disc set "DECADE" to be coming out in 2007. Fans can email me at lightfoot750@yahoo.com or they can reach my MySpace account. And I just wanted to say to my fans. I know I'm strong on family tradition and I mention family a lot. but if not for all you fine people that pay your money, buy the merchandise, travel sometimes hours to see a show, Jeremy Lightfoot would not exsist. From the bottom of my heart I thank each and every one of you. I love all of you.
